It is an exciting week for Natalie Portman, as she and her fiancé Benjamin Millepied welcomed a baby boy!

The “Garden State” babe and her French-born ballet boy are proud parents and feel thrilled to be embarking on parenthood.

Natalie met Benjamin on the set of her critically-acclaimed film “Black Swan” and they had an instant connection, according to an insider.

“It was seductive to watch them. There was no way the attraction could be missed. I don’t think he could help himself — she’s dazzling!”

As Portman’s pregnancy progressed, she told press, “One of the most exciting things about being pregnant is that I’m accepting the complete unknown. It’s a complete mystery and miracle. It’s really just accepting that I have no idea, which is what all of us live every day.”

She may have shared the best dressed honour on the red carpet with fellow nominee Nicole Kidman, but the acting glory was Natalie Portman’s alone at the Independent Spirit Awards today.

The Black Swan star, who is pregnant with her first child, was named best actress at the Santa Monica ceremony, which is the art-house world’s version of the Oscars.

Her ballet thriller swept the board at the ceremony a day before it competes for five prizes at the Academy Awards.
