Paris Hilton’s boyfriend Cy Waits attacked by stalker
A stalker was arrested Wednesday after he attacked Paris Hilton’s boyfriend in front of a Los Angeles courthouse where the hotel heiress was set to testify against another stalker.
Witnesses said James Rainford came up behind Hilton’s boyfriend, Cy Waits, and hit him in the head as he and the former reality TV star were walking hand in hand.
Rainford is the same man busted in October for sneaking onto Paris’ Hollywood property and getting into an altercation with her private security.
He pleaded no contest to civil assault and was put on three years probation.
Witnesses, including a gaggle of reporters following Hilton and Waits into the courthouse, said Rainford was restrained by the socialite’s bodyguards and turned over to cops.
“I’ve already proposed to her and her dad already said ‘Yes,’” Rainford told reporters as cops put him in handcuffs and led him away.
“I wanted to get her to sign my picture of me proposing to her,” said Rainford, wearing a white T-shirt and sunglasses.
Waits was not seriously injured, but the scare left Hilton rattled. A bodyguard for Paris Hilton restrained the stalker who grabbed Waits.
“That is the guy who came on the bike to my house,” Hilton said, calling Rainford “a stalker.”
“Oh my god, that is another intruder who came to my house on a bike. This guy just attacked my boyfriend,” she said.
She and Waits were at the courthouse to testify against Nathan Parada, 31, who was arrested last summer on charges he tried to break into Hilton’s house while wielding two knives.
